My Story
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati and my master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a black therapist I specialize in working with diverse and all-inclusive client populations. I focus primarily on providing treatment to adults and geriatric individuals.
I have extensive experience in treating anxiety, intimacy issues, relationships, sexuality, couples, self-doubt, trauma, faith-based therapy, grief, as well as adoption and fertility matters. I am also a subject expert on minority, cultural, and ethical issues. Combining my experience in trauma and family dynamics, as well as my passion for diversity, I excel at providing care to clients regardless of where they come from or how they identify.
My Approach
No one person is the same, therefore I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the current needs of the individual that I am working with. I work to provide a safe space for individuals to speak freely and find a sense of balance no matter what issues they are facing.

My approach to treatment and supervision is both strength-based and collaborative to help individuals identify areas of success as well as areas for continued growth. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), harm reduction techniques, and reality-based therapy. Drawing from several evidence-based techniques, I select treatment modalities that will yield optimal results for each person. Seeking therapy is not always easy but you have made the first step. I will be there to help guide you as you begin your journey towards better mental health and overall well-being.
